Finca Il Peperoncino is a work in progress project
which aims not to limit itself only to tourist activity.
We are working in fact day after day, so that the respect for environmental matter
as well as socio-cultural ones may take root in public spirit and conscience.
In the natural reality of the north of Manabí, no other way is possible.
The ravaging that it has suffered at the hands of those who,
due to the interest or ignorance, have never respected it,
and neither have seen the possibility it offers
for a homogeneous spread of all its resources, increasing, as a result,
social uncertainties and ever growing migratory
phenomena among the weakest classes of the population.
This is objective data which cannot be ignored just as the climate changes
that are taking place at a local level and which are becoming more and more
unpredictable year after year should be taken into account.
The possibility that we have considered is that a positive collaboration
between the perspectives laid open by sustainable natural farming and the
empirical experience of the local farmers (which makes the resources
available for all those who really want to commit themselves in this way).
Who could claim more rights than those brought up with traditional
knowledge acquired before the indiscriminate introduction of chemicals
products in the extensive farming.
It is time to establish the coordinates of this possible relationship to which
we are all called to, from all corners of the world of tourism.
